The O-T has always been interesting on TV issues because everyone acts like a baller, but then brags about doing all these poverty things to watch something they are really interested in

Is it stealing? Yes. Is it Napster all over again? Absolutely.
The market is forcing adaption

Add in how they seem to make the product lose some nice features every once and a while with the price raise, its absurd
right, and instead of fixing anything, they choose to blame and shame their customers.
i guarantee there are PLENTY of people shelling out hundreds a month for TV who have 'fatigue' when finding an event they want to watch isn't there and hit up streameast to watch it.
but yes, let's blame our customers for the issue. maybe that 'consortium of 50 streaming providers' would be better served to spend time making agreements and improving their product to benefit their customers instead of, oh,spending millions to go after some hackers in Egypt
eta: study what unhappy consumers did to "DivX" sometime

For shows and sports the pirate sites have made it easier. You have one place that has literally everything.

It is also a bigger symptom of the market. Like YouTube for instance. I refuse to watch 1.5 minutes of ads to watch a five minute video. It's getting bad enough that the ads are being included in the content "Coast2 Coast" style. I will watch youtube on whatever browser that allows me to block ads. I will not relent.

Imagine being so dumb you don't even realize you can watch it on your TV.
Also, GFY. I use sites like this for UFC and among other things. It's not about being poor.
Imagine being so dumb that you think people are watching streameast on a laptop and not on a 70" OLED with clear picture. Like the guy above said GFY.
And then imagine how dumb you are for thinking you are smart by paying for things that others had for free.

That kind of sucks. That’s how I watch the Astros, since I’m blacked out in Baton Rouge, and Saints games when I’m overseas.
Found out about Streameast on The Rant. All comes back around to TD.

You aren't blacked out. You pay for Directv or Fubo and have every single game on space city

I JUST had this conversation. The NFL has a game tomorrow and one Friday. The game tomorrow is on NBC, I was assuming it was on Prime because last year thursday night games were on Prime. The Friday night game, which is in Brazil... I think. Its somewhere in South America.. And its going to be available on youtube.
I liked when Thursday and Sunday night games were NBC, Sunday day games were on CBS and Fox and Monday night ESPN, but now a game can pop up on a streaming service. You have a Friday night game, etc.
What's worse is baseball. I don't really watch much MLB, but I keep up with the Astros and like to watch Skenes pitch. Unless the Astros are on TBS their games are blacked out..If they play on ESPN or on Fox, its blacked out. I don't know the details in TV rights with MLB, I think you can watch on Apple TV, but I don't care for Apple TV so I don't have it.
I remember back in the day Saints games used to be blacked out when it wasn't a sellout, but all of the TV deals assured that everyone would be able to watch the teams in their area, etc. That improves ratings. Right now the only people watching baseball is the die hards.

The public is sick and tired of subscription models, and shutting down these types of sites will do absolutely nothing for their bottom line.
What pisses me off more than anything is prices go up, but we are given more brain rot slop to "justify it" knowing damn well the only thing that pushes the needle anymore is live action events (sports, news, ect) and that the sports and news are utilizing psychological tricks and outright deception instead of improving their product. The entire world is a Skinner's box now, and we are worse for it.
