So if my kid is in Baton Rouge whispering sweet nothings into his girlfriend’s ear, should I make him drive back to Slidell tonight or tomorrow morning?

He’s probably better off in Baton Rouge. But either tonight or tomorrow morning will be fine to make that drive.

Wasn’t there a storm last year that they said would dump a ton of rain and it ended up being nothing? I don’t remember the name but I do remember the rain forecast being way off.
Was it a forecast, prediction or discussion

A forecast would imply conditions expected but not a guarantee 100 %. How many things are 100 % accurate ? Maybe the weather service should stop issuing forecasts ? 50 percent chance of thunderstorms isn’t a guarantee that it will or will not thunder at your house. Although the probability is higher than 50 percent that at least an isolated TS will occur given the atmospheric conditions. what does the public expect ?

since the worst of this storms offset to the east of CoC I’d say he’s better off in BR than Slidell. However if you’re worried about having a bastard grandson you might wanna have him drive home tonight rather than tomorrow since conditions on the northshore are expected to worsen

I’d have a discussion with him about the predicted forecast. Then make your decision based off that

Will my flight from Baton Rouge to New Orleans be delayed tomorrow night?

Highest gust I'm seeing is 50 at marine point KCYD, 61 nm south of Pilottown.

Any idea time wise when Morgan City area sees landfall. The thinking still tomorrow night or tomorrow midday
Posted on 6/6/20 at 5:55 pm to Tigerfan19
Landfall should be tomorrow afternoon, but east of you. You'll get your weather tomorrow morning and afternoon.
