So Would you stay in Nola or leave for Gulf Shores. Already had one car flooded this year.

My wife (no pics) and I are in Birmingham but need to drive back to the MS Coast tomorrow. I know it’s gonna rain on us the whole drive tomorrow. I’m a little worried about the wind and spin-up tornadoes. Should we leave today? We plan to drive down 59 through MS to Highway 49 tomorrow.

If you have a place to go in Gulf Shores I’d go there. Nola is more likely to have power outages and the places that normally have drainage issues will flood to some extent.

It looks like dry air is finally starting to get into the system. The center looks exposed on the visible satellite this morning.

I think you meant I59?

Just go now. You’ll be fine today. Tomorrow evening will see the feeder bands.

6z EURO is back east again and sort of wobbles itself around but with a landfall around western Terrebonne Parrish then goes up to BR.
Heaviest rainfall over Gulfport this time.

I am pretty sure he meant hwy 49, it goes right down the middle of MS, common corridor from Jackson-Hattiesburg-coast
