Made it back to Nola this morning. Truck was still in the parking lot at the rouses with nothing wrong with it. LFG.
However, traffic back to mobile outside of Slidell is fricking gridlock

yea the storm doesn't even form until 9/11 so its not like a wave coming off Africa that is picked up 10+ days before landfall

Speaking of which, the wave off Africa is going to be interesting to watch what models do with it. We could learn some things about future systems this season that may develop off Cape Verde and in the MDR.
*Note: this particular system should take a long fishing trip and hopefully provide some really cool satellite imagery.
