Checking back in from Watson. No power, low water pressure, poor cell service right now. Bright side, no damage and everyone is ok.

Anyone have a chart or some stats showing wind measurements around Baton Rouge? South BR looks a whole lot worse than the rest and I’m curious if there was a big difference

I mean, what would the interest realistically be for something like a substack in the future? Could be a little more candid than for public consumption.

I'm certainly not about to throw out a Venmo handle and ask for donations right now though. There are places that need whatever little bit that'd be a whole lot more right now.

Yeah like I said it’s probably me just getting old and tired after the last couple days.

That's understandable.

It's going to take some time to work through the storm reports, give it time.

I can tell you that the radar told a pretty clear story to back up what you're seeing. The first TS level band hugged the SE part of the parish.

Nobody getting into Port Fourchin

I’ve seen the trucks the baws drive to Fourchon. I think they could handle that.

I've always thought a plain-speak, no-nonsense, hold on to your asses type weather platform could gain some interest.

To hell with the formalities, let a few shits and fricks fly, and drink a beer during the forecasts.

That's just me, though.

Hurricane Track has always been pretty good about getting their data out fairly quickly. I haven't followed them quite as closely this season, so I don't know where they put up their stations this time.

Mark actually got a mention in the Laura final report.

Live oaks in all around us cracked in half like nuts. I saw a full 7foot tree uprooted and the wind blew the tree, rootball and all, 50 yards across the parking lot. My neighbor had all 4 of his trees crack in half or get uprooted.
