That dude is still defending himself on Twitter as we speak. People are calling him out and he's lashing right back out.

He'd better be careful. Some of those people are going to try to get him in legit legal trouble.

Me too. On Cypress Dr.

Please post if you hear anything.

Any luck? I did not even try to get down there today. We are also on Cypress Dr. It starts getting water at 3.75' or so...

We have one of the older camps down there. Built in 78 I believe.. based on a couple posts about Killian from earlier in the thread, I am beginning to think it will be a total loss.

Had a buddy go down today to check on his camp off Tiboe. 22 was underwater but they were getting through with trucks.

A Dim definitely posted that, lied, tried to blame someone else, and couldn't figure out the situation

Crews making quick progress. Just drove in from Henderson and many of the areas of Walker off Florida look to be power restored. There's very large areas of BR without power still though. On another note, there almost isn't a drop off gas between here and there without a 30 minute wait.

Downtown BR has power. Saw lots of open gas stations.

Is it just me or is this a little non professional from the national weather service to ramble and hashtag like this? Maybe it’s me getting old but I would want an official organization to just tell me what I need to know. Is it or is it not likely to rain. I don’t need your hashtags or you sentiments. Tell me what I need to know and that’s it. I can find sympathy somewhere else

I think it is just them trying to be a little less formal in the wake of the storm. They didn't do that leading up to or during the storm.

I will say, they've done a hell of job throughout with getting info out, whether it was their forecasts or warnings or other's news or updates. I have no complaints about the NWS New Orleans office during this, particularly with some other offices really struggling of late.

Yeah like I said it’s probably me just getting old and tired after the last couple days.

South of a MEI to MGM line, stronger v-flux of the 850 mb wind
will support instability transport toward locations inland from
the Gulf Coast with potential for training axes of rainfall rates
near 3 in/hr from far southern MS into southern AL and the western
FL Panhandle. In addition, the 12Z HREF and recent runs of the
HRRR have been supporting the development of a WSW to ENE inflow
band to focus across southeastern LA, south of 30 N. This would be
in response to low level confluence and the presence of a very
moist and unstable airmass with little in the way of inhibition.

Ton of moisture, decent instability (suggestive of the heavy rates in tandem with the moisture), and some big convergence of moisture in the Mississippi Sound. Band forms along the coast and eventually rounds back toward the low pressure center up in Mississippi or whereever the hell it is now.

Gotta keep an eye on that with water so high across SE Louisiana.
