if a tornado went through metairie?

I’ve not seen anything about a tornado in Metairie, and I believe that would’ve been widely discussed.

Hope they’re safe!

Sometimes you forget just how a-hole pucker inducing some of these gusts can be.

Can they not run those lines along the CCC (Or the Huey P since that's near where the tower was)? I don't know shite about running lines but it would make more sense than giant towers.

What I was getting at is they don’t need those towers and lines back up in order to get power back to the city. The same lines they use to send power off to be sold could be used to bring in power to be bought. They can source power from elsewhere, it doesn’t have to come from the ninemile 6 plant

Come on man. It’s like saying Can’t they make spaceships out of marshmallows.

I’m no expert, but those lines probably need to be 15 feet apart and spaced symmetrically to limit impedance. It would take months to make structural modifications to the bridges to support that cantilevered weight. Then you’d have to run new transmission lines on either side of the river.

Only tornadoes I've heard about have been in Hancock County, Mississippi.
But, I probably missed some.

It wasn’t a terrible wind even but like 1/3 of the homes flooded

This is my 2nd time.

Sucks so bad.

Isaac in 2012 sat on top of us and spun for 3 days and pushed water from Lake P and M in to Laplace.

This one did same thing but much quicker.

They have been "building" a levee for 9 year. Yeah right, all they have done is cut out the path for it.

To be honest I don't even know if this levee they are "building" would stop this. It's just a bad area for hurricanes I've learned. Any storms to the west just pile water up and pile water up.

Hell we have flooding near I10 when we get a stiff east wind for 5 days.

Idk. Idk. Sucks big time. Here we go again.
