Some brain dead loser on the news just said “if you must get out and about tomorrow don’t forget to social distance and wear your mask. We’re still in a pandemic”.

Swear to God some of these liberals are absolutely insane. They literally worship Covid. Just shut the frick up with that nonsense right now.

It’s actually sound advice. Will be a ton of out of town/state workers and everyone’s guard comes down. Combination heat and the zombies everyone in catastrophic recovery turns into. Our hospitals filled with out of state workers.

This is my first major hurricane as a home owner. I’m fully expecting to have trees down in my house when I get back. But I got my wife and son out, and that’s all that matters. But I am stressed beyond anything I’ve experienced.

Just lost power in Madisonville about twenty minutes ago. Don’t know how the hell it stayed on so long.

Main transmission lines could end up being easier to fix.

More than a month according to some...

I'm sure it will take a long time to restore 100% of power but again, it cannot and should not take that long to restore a transmission line. If it is that important major resources will be dedicated to fixing that.
NO WAY it takes a month.

It’s been rough in St Amnat. Been holding my front door shut for going on 2 hours

Better fix that thing first thing. I noticed my septic pump is cutting on a bunch in this. I’m fixing that tomorrow.

Funny how these things point out the issues.

But won’t they have to get a tower back up to run the lines???

Pretty sure they'd have to build a brand new tower. That doesn't happen in a week

Y’all see how the bitch is due north of Houma now?
And it never really got close to Houma.

It’s definitely zig zagged from Locksport to near LePlace and now is west of Killian.

NWS New Orleans is already pleading with people to stay in. I suspect it isn't only for their safety from the storm damage and such.
New Orleans in the dark. Yeah, I think there's plenty of reasons not to venture out.
