Have a few videos of families houses in Destrehan and it looks pretty bad

Not real land, though. The land boundaries on maps vastly overstate the land on the LA coast. Nominally it’s been on “land” for hours, but still actually over water.

Idk whose dick I have to suck but I still have power, last block in the neighborhood with power.
Keep flickering, so I'm sure our time is nigh.

I really hate to hear that. It happened to us in Katrina, and it is brutal to have that happen. Losing your home is just awful. Sending prayers.

So I'm about 15 miles east of Hammond. How is it that the NWS still has only highs of 69mph gusts and 48mph sustained for Madisonville over the next 3 hours.

Luling I'm pretty certain, but at least in that run through St. Charles up toward LaPlace that has been sitting in the core for hours.

They haven't updated the grid forecasts and it's probably wrong. Though it will be weakening all the way up to you. You should get ready for some very rough conditions tonight.

Jesus dude. You expect power to stay on in a storm like this?
Now as to why Nola doesn’t have diesel backups at their pumps, no clue.

The NWS hasn't been worth a shite for wind intensity as far as I can tell. It seems totally unresponsive to track shifts.

What way is it moving? Water rushing back out to the gulf?

New Orleans is insanely dark now. I’ve never seen it without any street lights or any lights throughout the entire city. It’s country dark out.

Family in Destrehan has some roof leaking trees down. It’s not good all those people around there usually stay. This is the worst they’ve seen probably ever and my dads family has been there forever.

S&WB just put out a statement that makes the conditions in New Orleans sound like Afghanistan. This is going to be a horrible week in Orleans Parish.
Remember when they said "No evacuation necessary"?
