This may not be a ton of solace, but your friends, neighbors, and strangers you've never met will help. My parents lost their house last time and the outpouring of effort to help them out always gives me goose bumps.

Find some shelter, you're stuck in the worst of it for at least the next 45 minutes. It's moving slowly north.
I'm so so sorry, friend.

I’m devastated. I have family and so many friends that live in St. Charles Parish and from what I’m hearing things are terrible. I also know of many people who didn’t evacuate. I hope everyone there is okay. That one wobble to the east made all the difference for them.

Incorrect. Hammond is in line for a rough night.
When will this thing clear out of Louisiana? Tomorrow afternoon?

Hammond is being pounded right now. Steadily getting worse.

If you can get out of this band, you should be doing a good bit better.

Pressure down to 962.8 hPa at the airport in Reserve. Right in the edge of the eye now.

Any update on Oschner? Since part of the roof came off, they are severely compromised for additional damage?
It's a massive complex so part of the roof blowing off is bad but not necessarily a huge problem for them. Ochsner will give an update on all facilities at 9 p.m.

Is it just me or is this thing extremely well organized for being on land for so long?

Tomorrow afternoon?
The winds that are a problem should be out by the morning.
Rain is going to hang around east of I55 for a lot of the day, but it won't be packing huge winds.

It’s moving at 9mph, it is a buzzsaw that will hopefully be gone by morning. Prayers to your family. Hang in there.

With the slight westerly track did NOLA and its multi billion dollar upgraded levee system dodge the bullet from being tested??? Seems that way
