I try and explain to people that TLC used to show detailed surgical procedures. Enough detail that at when I was 12 years old I was fairly confident that if push came to shove, I could remove an appendix. At the same time The Weather Channel was very informative and cultivated my interest in the atmosphere and severe weather. This storm has never had a ceiling that wasn't a 5.
I don't know if it will make a 5, but I would not be surprised.

I’m legitimately afraid right now. How the frick do I ensure my kids are safe during this? The responsibility as their father and my wife’s husband is sorta hitting me right now. I think we are going to “sleep” in our hall bathroom with a mattress over us tomorrow. I just don’t know what else to do to ensure we are ok in the event shite starts falling down on us. And we live in a very sturdy brick home.
