Fourchon is under a mandatory evacuation. Is he still there?

Sounds like Bradford pears are pretty weak
Crape Myrtles can survive nuclear blasts
If you just have to plant a pear go with Cleveland pear

VDM has a closed eyewall.
And down to 20 miles. No good news in that VDM.

Do yall remember the small 2 ounce bottles of army green mosquito lotion FEMA and the NG gave out after Katrina? Pretty much pure DEET. A friend working on school HVAC repair had gotten his hands on dozens of them. That stuff was amazing.

It’s crazy to see people of the OT listening to the experts, scientists, and news when determining what to do during an emergency. After the past 18 months I was worried people may think the storm was hoax. I’m relieved to see that everyone is following the science. Please listen to your local officials and meteorologists. I really hope everyone stays safe out there!!
That’s because we’ve experienced hurricane force winds and rain fall on a life altering scale. Lives ruined and in some cases, ended.
On the other hand, we’ve all experienced the flu.
So get fricked.

I’ve never been to Fourchon but I looked at it on Google Maps.
That place is as good as leveled. Not going to sugar coat. Looks identical to Cameron/Holly Beach. That place is fricked.

Looks like a decent western jog recently. Could be it correcting itself back to the original forecast track or could just be a wobble

Well if that holds ill get my first experience in the eyeball of a badass hurricane if I live long enough

As it stands NOLA is in the Northeast quad and that is typically the worst part of the storm
The good news is the latest track has storm moving slightly more west and NO further east than say Ascension Parish and LivingstonParish, which are going to be closer to the eye.

And people in Iowa think you're stupid for living where you do. So it's all relative.
