I love that movie. That was Chappelle’s first breakout role in anything I believe.

The whole east vs west bickering is fascinating to me.

Checking in from Inniswald-Jefferson Terrace area of Baton Rouge. I know we have a handful of us staying, spent the morning getting last supplies, saw the wife and kid off (hell like ride it appears so far and they left at 7:00 heading East) and cleaned gutters and putting up patio stuff. Parents are squared

Grilling some chicken in a little bit and cracking open my first one of the day.

In the event when all hell breaks loose we should make a OT Rally Point in IEJT to check on everyone.

If that tracks on the eastern side of those runs where it's already positioned the eastern eye wall goes right through Jefferson Parish and the western part of Nola.

And do they have a freezer full of shrimp?

I’m still laughing at that from yesterday.. only because I have family members that would say the same thing.

My FIL is still upset about the shrimp he lost from Katrina.

Well that makes me feel a little better actually. I haven't been keeping up with this thing like I should have, but I feel like I'll get the west side eyeball instead of the east now.

Good for us in houma?

No way. If it follows the path Houma is in the eastern eyewall, if it keeps going east Houma is a direct hit. Everyone should already be evacuated from Houma.

No shite chief. My only point is I notice the peeps in mand/cov have been in the NHC cone since it first came out. Now they are not. So all the past trends have been west.

If the next update says there back in then ok, they are. I was just using it as a mark to see the western shift recently. frick.

But you misunderstand how the cone works. It shrinks over time. Lake Charles was in it too, but now it isn’t. That doesn’t mean a trend to the East.

The cone is and has always been woefully misunderstood by many.

I know this is probably a dumb question but I don’t care. If this storm passes northwest over Nola, is there enough warm water in the lake to keep the storm a hurricane or is that body of water to small to effect anything?

Why don’t the fools on WAFB update the track as new things come out? This guy right now still acting like nothing has changed when clearly it has.

Latoya done fricked up

How bad does NOLA fair with a direct from the south hit vs a slightly west landfall?

I know katrina was slightly east and that seems to push surge to the west with the worst winds to the east.

How would nola fair with 110mph winds?

Watching Fox 8 because I was trying to watch the Nebraska game. Looks like a little eastern shift, correct? Little more towards Houma than Morgan City?

They, like most local mets, will stick to official NHC guidance.
