Wife is getting nervous. Any reason to think we may need to be out of Lafayette?

I wouldn’t at this point and I’m conservative with these decisions. Think you are good but it wouldn’t hurt to have car gassed up just in case.

Even with small jogs in either direction it seems pretty locked in that BR isn’t going to have a good time

I mean any tropical weather is a bad time. I just don’t think we’re going to get the worst hurricane ever for BR like was being predicted earlier today. If we wake up tomorrow and it’s shifted east again a couple times, I’ll feel very confident in staying in my home.

Anyone have any concern for the Bay and Pass?

For sure, especially if it keeps shifting East.

My parents bugged out of BSL.

Lafayette? No. If you’re anywhere between Baton Rouge and New Orleans Id highly consider it.

Good.

I feel like staying for a hurricane in Hancock Co is just begging for trouble.

I do not know anyone but a few people who have evacuated. If I wake up and it's farther to the east, I will probably make the call to go. Our local meteorologists on WLOX indicated at 5 PM today we wouldn't get it too bad so I've been basing my decisions on that.

The dumbasses come out in full force during hurricane threads. Damn. Are you going "hang on honey, I'll let you know if we evacuate after a stranger on tigerdroppings.com answers my retarded questions"

He said he thinks it’ll come in at the NW trajectory instead of straight north

What was the peak storm surge in Houma during, say, Katrina by the way? Can't remember

Rita was worse for Terrebonne - we had just lost everything in NOLA for Katrina, then boom, the in laws flooded in lower Terrebonne for Rita
