Anyone recall the youtube name of that guy with the gremlin riding around Lake Charles?

The dude's name is Doug Kiesling. Think he is part of this channel.

It’s actually a California garage (or whatever you call it). It has a garage door on it but no other walls except for the house wall. Basically it’s a carport with a garage door.

That seems fricking pointless

I am curious...for people who stay for the storm and then leave if power goes out the next day, is that usually a pretty successful endeavor? They usually clear the main roads pretty quickly of any debris, right?

I want everyone to note how edgy the Lake Charles people are after they got this kind of strike last year. I havent known Slow to be overdramatic.

No that’s my way of saying that I know those people who own it and they’re not leaving MC.

12z GFS ensembles are out...

This is getting weird. 12z GFS and HWRF were east of the 6z runs, but 12z HMON went west of the 6z run and the GFS ensemble mean is west of the 6z run too. Models went from crazy good agreement to not so good agreement.

6z GFS for comparison...

Both they keep stressing rapid intensification and this thing wasn’t originally supposed to get to hurricane strength until after crossing Cuba I feel they are being conservative on the intensity.

that was def a weird one. went to bed with it going well west of Ocean Springs. Woke up to the wind howling. Turned on the radio to hear them say the eye of Georges is now 10 miles south of Horn Island. Then hit I10 and took a 90 degree east turn. We lost 63 or our 72 pecan trees in Georges. Topped and stood most of them back up only to have Katrina finish them off just as they were starting to roduce again. Of the few that were left lightning as killed all but 2 since then.

The gusts show 104 mph gusts west of the city. It looks like mid-90s to the east.

Gustav got up to 90-92 mph.

Georges
I think it was just before Hurricane Georges...we all went to Global Wildlife and the animals were acting all weird and antsy. Anyway, a camel bit my sister on the shoulder. Apparently that was a fun call to the pediatrician for my parents
