I’m in the hospital with my wife. She’s in labor. The baby could be born tonight. Could be born tomorrow. I don’t know how much time I will have to prepare my house. frick me boys and girls. We live in Baton Rouge, so we’re not in the worst place possible, but it certainly isn’t good. My family has been lucky for a long time. I really wish that this was not the weekend it would run out. I know I should have prepared for this, but I just dropped the ball. I’ve asked family for help, but I don’t know how much they’ll be able to

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans mayor calls for everyone outside the levee system to evacuate before Hurricane Ida hits Louisiana.

Is this a with mask or without mask evacuating? Also do you have to show proof of vaccination to evacuate?

I assumed people offshore spend most of their time building trucks online regardless. Was I wrong?

That sounds rather stupid. California indeed!

I still don’t understand the cone image with the S just inland of landfall after being a major and BR predicting high winds…but the D also appears much sooner than it was yesterday. Rapid breakdown would be nice, but is that the case here?

I feel their products are lagging the data coming out. And I don’t buy 120 mph steady for 12 hrs in the gulf. she may not come in as a cat 5 but I wouldn’t be surprised to see her explode while in central gulf then maybe lose a bit of steam just before landfall. A cat 4 to high end 3 would be my guess at landfall

If BR gets 100+ mph winds like that model a few posts up says, not gonna be good. Very bad.
