And this storm is projected to get from the lower Caribbean to landfall in three days. It will be hauling arse also.
There's no powerful cold front picking this one up and jettisoning it out of our region like we got last October. We only experienced hurricane conditions for a few hours.
The strengthening conditions are much more ripe this time than they were in late October last year as well.

If recon confirms the center is where we think it is, thats positive for LC.

Is this the longest thread in TD history yet?

STOP POSTING ABOUT FUTURE STORMS!
Too many people reading now, shite is going to get confusing. This thread is for TD 9. Keep it that way.

North or east shift of center would likely also be positive for LC

Laura was just so devastating to see in person.
My brother, God love him, came in from AZ to help after and was asking what to expect to see. All I could tell him was nothing I could tell him would prepare him. You can see things on TV, but your brain compartmentalizes it, even if you know the area. I could say "every structure was damaged," but your mind can't fathom that LITERALLY every structure was damaged. It was endless. Hell, driving around months later and seeing an area I hadn't seen yet was still hard. Don't wish that on anyone else, but this area isn't ready for that or anything like it again yet.
