And this storm is projected to get from the lower Caribbean to landfall in three days. It will be hauling arse also.
It’s supposed to slow down after landfall

Laura was just so devastating to see in person.
I lived in BR during Katrina, which was like a mini disaster zone, but man stuff like driving in a day later...that was intense.

Love how i can power a small air conditioner (via the soft starter that i personally engineered), my refrigerator, networking equipment, and computers/TV all off my 2200W quiet inverter generator, im ready to roll
What BTU on a/c and what brand of invertor generator?
I bought a WEN 2250 this summer and im curious as to what all it can run?

It’s in the northern Caribbean and is moving 15 mph which isn’t extraordinary fast but it certainly isn’t slow.

Euro looks further south and west of the previous run at 80 hours. Looks to graze Terrebonne this time.

Euro coming in Morgan City with BR east side

Euro making landfall at 973 is a positive development.

I've been saying for awhile and especially if a Laura type storm comes close to or through BR it will be catastrophic. The infrastructure is already terrible. Power gets lost on a pretty day. Flooding will be a mess.
It would be a shite show for sure but you're dealing with another 60 miles of land to get to BR compared to LC. That's gonna take some of the punch out of it.

at the moment Zeta made landfall... it was moving at 24 mph & gaining speed
as of this moment... TD9 is moving at 13 mph
even if it stays at 13 mph... that will be much, much slower than what Zeta was doing

when can i stop being anxious?
Posted on 8/26/21 at 1:18 pm to bnb9433
i have a craftsman 2200i
it's a 14k(8k) roll around stand alone unit, without the soft starter the generator would struggle to get it started due to 28A of inrush, the soft starter brought it down to 10A which is even in range of full load rating of the generator
