My wife is in full blown panic mode right now.

Keep in mind how waterlogged the tree root system is in LA at the moment. Any large windy storm (even if just TS level) could be catastrophic to a lot more homes in the area due to trees falling.

Not to be an a-hole but no one cares about all of you guys' travel and flight plans. Threats to house, home work and way of life are far more serious.

Not sure why I was downvoted on the tree roots being waterlogged comment. That's not an "overreaction". That's a fact.
Big trees falling are a big concern if a windy storm hits anytime soon.

Good point about Rita. Rita below:
And Gustav:
Isaac was LA early and late but panhandle of FL in the middle.

32 pages and no mention of Punta Cana?

I never said that my travel plans meant shite to anyone on this board; I agree that there are more important things for people to be worrying about. AT this point everything is speculation and I am worried on all levels.

Certain models were hinting Louisiana on Gustav 10 days out though, that storm didn't have much uncertainty.

That it is a lot of preparing..

that looks like a mean motherfricker already.

so its seems about 60 percent of the models have this going East and staying into the Atlantic whereas the rest have this entering the GOM

While this thing does have some potential to impact Louisiana, people really need to calm down right now. It's at least a week out and there's still a lot of questions about where and how it develops. Just keep an eye on it.
This. I posted NHC 5 day track errors a couple of pages back to show how much uncertainty there still is. We won't really know anything for several days. This could still pull an Erika.

My Punta Cana trip is more important than your cares.

Yeah that's the point I guess. These predictions are all over the place but there are times when they're relatively concise even at 7 days or so.
As for the comments about not freaking out, I wholeheartedly agree, but if you're short on supplies it is never a bad idea to restock this time of year.

Come on. Is your sarcasm detector off this morning?

Incorrect. That's the ensembles for ONE particular model. The majority of all major models take it into the gulf
