Most of the bad crap will be south of this storm.. it’s very lopsided with a huge amount of dry air pushing it from the north..

Checking all of the buoys it's 6 ft seas. Used to ride though those off Cameron during summer rains squalls for shits and giggles in high school in an 18 foot boat

True 6’ seas in an 18’ boat isn’t much fun.

Looks like most of the rain is well south

It might actually weaken as it hits dry air headed west

If somebody has plans to fish out of hackberry Wed-Fri I assume it will be a washout.

Rain has started in Perdido Key. Was hot a breezy all day.

But the liquor store hasn’t run out and the seafood has been great.

Great News! I am heading east that way with the storm heading west.

Make a trip to Joe Patti's in Pensacola for everything fresh for the week. Amazing selection and prices.

Most people have no idea what “ foot seas” really mean.

If it's a nothingburger why would anyone make an insurance claim? If someone has damage from the storm that requires them to file a claim it is most definitely not a nothingburger for them.

Also, do you think insurance companies collect deductibles?

And I ask these questions as someone who hates insurance companies.

By “not much fun” I mean I was pretty sure I was going to die.

And yeah, true 6’ seas means an average wave height of 6’ with others mixed in that could be 9’+.

Most people see 3’-4’ seas and think it’s 6’ because they feel like they should be in a smaller craft.

seas are measured crest to trough. A 6’ sea means 3’ up and 3’ down. A forecast for 6’ seas means 1/3 of waves will be at 6’
