I would love the idea of bringing my boat but also am considering doing a crappie trip too while up there, if able. So may just elect for a guide for both. At least for the first time to somewhat get the lay of the land.
It’s also 7 hours almost from where I am and I’m not sure my trailer can make it 7 minutes in its current condition lol

Would like to take my dad somewhere you can catch the big bass We see on TV that’s not too far from South Louisiana. I have been on trout guided and crappie trips but never guided bass fishing.
Anyone have any experience with fishing Lake Fork or experience/recommendations with guides in that area?

I get the thought of this. Some people at work chose this option.
However my argument is I know many people who pull 3-4K per month once retired. Which if everything is paid for, is plenty. Especially if you’re getting social security as well.
That would be substantially lower tax bracket most likely for many.

I think if the government shut down recently showed us anything, it’s how much we do not need the government in their current capacity.
Maintain our roads, give us protection, and maybe a few other small, miscellaneous things, and get out of the way.
They were problems with flying secondary to TSA, that’s a easy solution.

Though I agree it’s the healthcare system as a whole. The whole thing could be made tremendously better, quicker and cheaper without insurance companies.

O did a lot to get himself fired. But the biggest problem he had was he wasn’t Baton Rouge enough for those people. He was doomed as soon as things turned a little south.
