Kinda disappointed a storm named Bertha is not at least a Cat 2 or something
Small Bertha doesn't have the same ring to it...

If this storm ends up being a nothing burger, could you argue it’s a good thing for all this cloud cover to help cool down the gulf for future storms?

Only if another one tracks over the same exact path in the next five days.

Bob Breck says don't change your weekend plans if going to the Tarpon Rodeo in Grand Isle. It won't be much a storm and long gone

Dry air and shear are going to show this bitch who's boss.

Checking all of the buoys it's 6 ft seas. Used to ride though those off Cameron during summer rains squalls for shits and giggles in high school in an 18 foot boat.

My wife went to Costco earlier today for a few things for the house and she said the amount of people stocking up on water and toilet paper was insane.
She also noticed huge lines at the gas pumps backing up into the streets around the store.
The panic is real and this will be nothing more than a rain storm with moderate winds if it even hits us.

I’m in Perdido Key. I like Fisherman’s Corner, Salty Pearl, the Point, Oyster House but I cook at lot at home.
Making a shrimp and crab gumbo with a tweaked acadiantable recipe tonight. Should be good.
I like to sit on the beach from 4-8pm so going out doesn’t always work out.

Perdido bay seafood is the best seafood market around. We also like the jellyfish, even though the view is nothing special
