That is a tricky angle that this storm is projected to be hitting. Hope this thing stays weaker because it seems like it could be pushing Lake Borgne and Lake Pontchartain into New Orleans at that angle. Time to test that sea wall.

Its not strong enough to do anything except raise tides slightly

Here’s my current position moving southeast toward Key West…
Last night about 1 AM was kinda rough. Woke up by very loud lighting and stuff falling off shelves. Right now though seas are calm, overcast above with light drizzling rain. I’m guessing it will be like this most of the day.

We routinely get thunderstorms far worse than what this is offshore currently.
What it ends up becoming who knows but right now this isn’t anything unsafe for a cruise ship which is what I suspect that guy was aboard.

Though it wasn’t quite that dramatic, I couldn’t resist going out on our balcony last night for a few minutes when it was storming. As a man, I think it’s in our DNA to have to go outside when it’s storming.

This is a 7 day cruise, so they don’t have the usual numbers. And those who are here have been very courteous and well mannered. It’s those 3-5 day cruises that brings out the ghetto crowd.
