This tells me that the mother views her husband only as a tangible provider & source of funds. Because when it came to down this moment, it was ultimately the mother who chose her siblings & other family members to attend over her husband.

I’m surprised this post did not get more attention, because I think Kraut Dawg probably got to the nub of the matter.

It’s a slap in the face. Good for him for not just taking it and showing her consequences.

Started dating a woman with a 4 month old? Feel bad for the guy but this is a mom that needed a check in her life

Speak that truth King, and thank you for making the American dream possible by driving trucks. Let the daddy who got invited float those bills.

If this is real there are a lot of things we don't know, but based on what we do know from his post alone, I understand him being hurt. His wife and his daughter just told him how much he means to them, and it ain't much.
Had something like that happened to me, I would probably take a more measured approach instead of reacting immediately, like quietly going to see a lawyer.

I'd side with the stepdad, but this story seems suspicious. I'd like to hear the daughter's side of the story; before assuming the worst.
It’s a creative writing exercise. During wedding season we had the same story except the bio dad walked the girl down the aisle, so the stepdad decided he wasn’t paying for the wedding.

Stepdad is 100% in the right. As someone that is basically in the same boat, if I would get left out for an UNCLE and boyfriend, I'm telling everyone to kick rocks. I'm sure I'd come around and it would all blow over, but I'd be hot. And the audacity for the wife to not stand up for her husband too is a little sad.

What’s the story behind being the LucasP killer?

Good for him and divorce the wife too.

Would like to read a follow up to this story.

Why does he have to be a proud black father, can't he be just a proud father?

They really hate being fathers, don't they
No, dumb arse. They hate going to work every day to pay someone's bills and get no love in return.
