Squirt some ivermectin on it, it’ll be gone tomorrow.

In years prior, Hinds County had the dishonor of having the highest STD rate of any county in the country. However, the state’s current boom of congenital syphilis, which follows a nationwide trend, has the medical community now labeling it an epidemic.
Jackson IS like a herpes lesion on the state of Mississippi…

Unfortunately work takes me there every once in a while.
And TBH, any part of Jackson proper, as opposed to the suburbs, is fairly ghetto.

Much of it looks like a 3rd world country. Abandoned and burned out buildings, block after block after block

My personal favorite was the inability to use the water system for a while there because of how fricking incompetent the city run utility is.

It’s not much better when you cross over our state line. According to that 2023 CDC study, they have 30 cases per 100,000. Louisiana has 26 per 100,000. South Dakota, on the other hand, has 73 cases per 100,000.

What the normal average for STDs? 1% doesn’t seem that high honestly
There are 288147 TD members. Taking into account alters and bots, let's say 250000 are real humans. That would mean 2500 have an STD.
Looking at it another way, there are 644 online right now. At least six of you have the clap

I've never seen HIV medication billboards in Mississippi.
I saw three the last time I drove through Baton Rouge.

When I was working in infectious disease identification, the rate was more like 5%, on average.

“That bar graph breaking down STDs by race is racist.”

Unless you want a grandbaby that looks like me... Send her with about 2600 plan B pills.

If you gathered 100 Mississippians in a room, statistically, at least 1 of them has an STD. The STD rate, depending on your source, is around 1,200 per 100,000 Mississippian, or 1 per every 100. The state has long been plagued by high rates of gonorrhea, chlamydia, and HIV.
Thank God for Mississippi. Is there any poll that they don’t rank in the bottom 5? West Virginia, Bama, Arkansas, and Georgia just swap places in every poll other than cost of living.
