We should really just ban all alcohol sales to anyone who owns a vehicle.
Also ban alcohol sales at bars, restaurants, nightclubs, etc.
People who visit those places also own cars. There is a potential that they may drive there.
Then we could only drink in our homes...but people drive to homes. You shouldn’t drink there either.
We should ban cell phones from being inside cars as well. Equally as dangerous.

Serious question - have any of you ever been pulled over on suspicion of DUI when you hadn't drank/smoked?

The more realistic way to look at this is as the number of DWI's has decreased, it has lowered the supply of DWI's. To get business back to normal its time to raise demand by lowering the definition of drunk.
Once it gets to 0.0 the powers that be will have to get creative to find more money. Then once self driving cars make it to the road they hit the financial cliff and revenue plummets.

We had a sober DD get pulled over in Lafayette on the way to Taco Bell. Cop became visibly upset when he realized our driver was sober.

You can still sell alcohol, just drink at home or have alternative transportation. I ain’t talking potential broseph

The better question you should ask is how many people with BAC's of .05-.79 were involved in fatal accidents?
My guess is far, far, fewer than 10,000.

I’ve gotten a DUI before, had to have a breathalyzer installed in my car. The guy at the installation place said don’t eat or drink very sugary drinks or food because that can make you blow a false reading if you haven’t been drinking.
