Let's not throw all the blame on just him.

But he is the guy who raised a BILLION dollars in taxes and they are going to say he can't find 30-40 million dollars to fix this? Then he really did piss it all away.

Going to the top should be classified as daredevil antics. 34 floors up on a building that has had little maintenance in almost 90 years

Better idea. Do a top to bottom scrub of state government. Eradicate offices that are unnecessary. Slim down offices that are terribly inefficient. Eliminate the 3-5 state universities and consolidate the 3 university systems into 1.
No need for new taxation. More money for no brainer things like building maintenance.

Let’s start a new century of counter-culture, less government, more personal responsibility.

Freedom baby. And responsibility.

We could generate a surplus the likes of which even God has never seen.

Yeah Jindal did that with state employees.

Now louisiana pays private companies under contract even more money to do less work.

Right out of college I had an office on the 32nd or 33rd floor for a year or so. The damn elevator was rickety as hell back then

Louisiana is really just a terribly bad joke at this point. Mississippi even laughs at our infrastructure.

But

Who Dat?
Mardi Gras!
Gumbo!
Death Valley!
Truck nuts!
Hollywood south!

ETA: and quit blaming politicians, they are giving the populace exactly what they want....you have met the enemy and he is you

Rocks fall off the State Capitol at such a rate that a protective structure must be built to protect people using the entrance.

Guys building protective structure do not feel PPE is necessary.

OK, cool.
