Raise the price of a small cup to $9

I went to SB when they first opened on Corporate Blvd to see what all the hoorah was about.
I drink coffee, regular black coffee so I ordered that.
It tasted like burnt wood chips.
I've never been back.
Community drinker only.

Separation costs? How much it cost to send an employee an email not to come back

Stop burning beans and go back to maximalist decor and then MAYBE I’ll drop by. But probably not, since making a cappuccino at home costs like 40 cents

I can’t tell if I’m just stupid, or if their menu is hard to figure out.

Too many stores. And too much money paid to less than average workers.

I stopped going when they put all their focus on online sales and stripped all their stores of seating. They turned their coffee shops from a place where you could sit and relax for a minute or even do some work into a place that openly wants you to get the frick out as fast as possible. They just flat out stopped giving people a reason to pick them over less customer hostile competition and now it's biting them in the arse.

More of a "McDonalds but green signs" place these days.
Not a fan of either, but I will stop at greasy Mac's in a pinch. Will just do without if Barsux is the only source.

Never. Not because of any particular reason, to me coffee is an ends to a mean (me popping).

No such thing to me. Not the biggest fan of Starbucks but I love some black, bitter dark roast
I loathe medium or light roast.

I never have been in one. What are the face tattoos and nose ring people going to do. I don't know of any other company that would hire those Libtard’s.

They initially sell at much lower prices and have comfortable enough and welcoming seating. Seems like corporate capitalism winning for the everyday person. Until Starbucks drives the independent shops out of business, close 2/3 of their own locations and raise prices, get rid of seating at the remaining ones. The final result of that "win" is the average person walking a few extra blocks to get a coffee that's not as good as it used to be and twice as expensive with no place to sit for a minute and drink it. The corporate chain business model executed to perfection.
Starbucks changed their model based on consumers placing mobile pick-up and drive thru orders. The change was consumer driven however Starbucks did not feel the change was inline with what made them who they are and have since announced a return to the comfortable sit down style of past. Starbucks hears you

Only go to Starbucks when a relative school teacher gets gift cards from students
The gift cards don’t go very far because of the high prices

How much higher are they than a CC’s or local joint in BR?

Outside of politics, the true blue coffee drinkers I know say their coffee sucks.

I guess there are some ghost town Starbucks. But I was at one on BW8 and Tanner and it was fricking booming on a Friday morning from 7am to 9am.

I've never liked Starbucks coffee. Ever.

As often as it rains in Tiger Stadium.

This is what happens when your big chain goes more and more and more corporate, combined with unionizing.

CC's and PJ's in Lafayette taste like arse. The one on Ambassador at the corner of Congress is the best one and is mediocre IMO. Reve was the best in my opinion but it was Downtown and kind of inconvenient if you lived on the Southside.
I moved back to Texas a year and half ago and there's better choices here, chain and local.
