I’m a Starbucks and Covid pure blood. Ive never had Starbucks or a Covid shot.

Dutch Bros doesn't even sell drip coffee and coffee is in their name. F them too

Correct. And this is not the first time that Starbucks has done this. Since 2005, this is the 3rd major purge of stores. When I lived in Houston about 15 years ago, there were two Starbucks stores literally across the street from each other, about 50 yrds. apart - no exaggeration. Many of these were franchisees that under performed.

Sounds like the margins on coffee have gotten thinner and the marketplace competition has become greater with seemingly every suburban corner flooded with multiple coffee shops serving sugar and cream drinks with a hint of coffee

you have places like Dutch Bros and 7 Brew and now even CC's opened one of those drive thru deals

Mcdonalds has even upped their coffee game

all our cheaper options than Starbucks these days

Subway did the same thing

I like their Via packets. Used them for travel and camping but now at home too.

That seemed to be their corporate strategy in the past. Oversaturate to promote the brand and drive competition out and then close locations.
