Bs Alex cop shot solider sat night in leg to disable him when guy was acting thuggy.
Then he should be fired. I can guarantee he broke the departments use of force policy.

You're correct. When I typed that I was confused. On the range at 25 yards I consistently put rounds on the left side (targets right) of the center ring.

How big is the group of people actually causing problems in Ferguson?

National Guardsmen have arrived in south St. Louis City. @kmov reports about 80 members will protect the police command center in #Ferguson.
Gonna need way more than 80

No they were not. Even the four in the arm weren't, even if the cop felt like his life was in danger somehow from an unarmed man... one shot in the arm or the leg would've been sufficiant

Just read the article. According to it deadly force was justified. Deadly force was used. The shot disabled the guy instead of killing him. I guarantee the officer was not shooting to disable. If he was and admits to that he should be fired

Small percentage of the ones protesting, but seems to be quite a few. More last night than the night before and seems to be going down hill fast. I have no idea from the different feeds I was watching but last night there seemed to be 2-3 groups from 20 to 50 or so in size. Media wasnt mixed in last night and it was a little easier to see how many but I still couldn't tell you a real figure. Anyone else?

Video from last night looks like a war zone, with small children running around. Video time stamp was around 10:30 pm. What the hell are kids doing out that late in that kind of environment?

Probably less than 500 who are violent/looting on any one night.

Yeah - because shooting to disable implies deadly force not appropriate - then you end up severing a femoral artery and the guy bleeds out - you go to jail for manslaughter.
Deadly force is either justified or it isn't - if it is, then any consequences are considered justified, and if the person who was shot survives - he got off light.
Having said that - back to Ferguson - I'm now seeing reports that Brown was shot 6 times. If he was truly unarmed, the officer (or officers) will have to account for every shot and every shot will have to be justified.
That's just a tough burden, IMHO.

Police just need to round them up. Mass arrests.
I know the media will make the police look even worse, but they just need to adopt a zero tolerance policy.

There were reports of kids being hit with gas canisters shot by the police. One report was the kid was in a stroller.
Who the frick pushes a kid in a stroller late at night during these situations. Especially with a weeks worth of history to show what the potential outcome will be.
Eta: I already know exactly what kinda person does that. One that should be sterilized. With kids being brought out there and put in the middle at least it ensures the next generation will have experienced looters, and citizens that have no respect for law and order

Thats what I don't understand about the last two nights. Instead of actually using riot troops to contain and make mass arrests like they do during G8 summits and the likes, they are just dispersing the crowd.
Lock them up and see how much quieter things get.

I asked that last night. I was amazed at the amount of kids 12 and under out there at 9pm at night when they are supposed to start school this morning

The parents or guardians should be charged with child endangerment.

This is what happens when you tiptoe around trying not to hurt anyone's feelings or piss anyone off.
