He wasn't. It's the thumb. A little inner. But a far cry from the palm.

Still, if the entrance wound was the front of the thumb/palm area then Mike Brown had to have had his hand up, in front of him when he was shot.

Overkill
I posted this early but It needs repeating. Someone earlier had mentioned the gunshots placement.
No. Cops don't fire warning shots. Cops don't shoot limbs to disable. ( A gun is deadly force, it's used to stop a serious threat by death if necessary)
The first shot(s) are reported to have happens as they wrestled for the officers gun inside the car. Some reports say MB wounded, some say he wasn't. MB then started to flee and officer have command to stop. MB threw his hands up challenging the officer ( could be where the "hands up" part cane from) then charged. The shots to the right arm suggest the officer was aiming center mass and had to much "pull" on the trigger this pushing the bullets to the left. As MB advanced and first shots weren't effective the last rounds were to the head area. The top of the head shot would be consistent with someone tucking their head in a charging manner.
Some of what I typed is from witness statements and some is personal opinion

So, what did I miss from 1240 until now?
Don't see too many posts about shootings and and looting
Do see the National Guard will be out.
Btw, I see CNN is doing everything they can to spin the autopsy report, but dumbasses just played the friend statement that said "He shot Big Mike twice and then Mike turned around to surrender"
Ooooops, no shots in the back, your story is bullshite.

Oh shite, more info about the autopsy...
The shot that went into the eye reentered his neck, so he was completely bent over.. Likely head down and running forward.
There is no way he could have been kneeling with hands up at 30ft away.

It doesn't matter if Brown was stabbing a baby at this point. Any evidence will be ignored by those with an agenda. Anything uncovered by the autopsy will be discredited as Conspiricy if it doesn't fit their narrative.

Sadly, this is completely accurate for a great many of the concerned parties in this matter. It hard enough to get one person to admit they were a tad early, rushed to judgement and were wrong. There's no way thousands of folks will believe that the cop used lethal force appropriately if that's what happened.

Couple that with personal agendas. There will always be those that will argue the officer shouldn't have shot unless being shot at. Any other police shooting to them is unacceptable.

You can't imagine a scenario where he's wrestling for control of the gun?
We literally know next to nothing, fact-wise about this case. And I mean , at most, 1 notch up from nothing.

I can't wait for people to act stupid tonight and fire live stuff at the National Guard. No more rubber bullets, no more tear gas, no more trying to save you life.

National guard will not be as nice as the police

What? You mean push - unless the officer was left-handed, which can't be assumed at this point (although possible).
Pistol marksmanship isn't an exact science - most RH shooters shoot a pistol low and right (which would correspond to the left arm, not right, when facing a target) - generally this is a flinch/anticipation of recoil effect, combined with the more common fault of "too much" finger on the trigger.
"Too little finger" on the trigger would be expected to cause a push to the left (which would correspond to the right arm of a target by a RH shooter).
In any event, these assumptions are based on gun range mechanics - in a short range firearms encounter, with movement of the target, any distractions, etc., all bets are off and virtually any sort of hit to the target facing is possible.
The forensics will narrow down the angle, distance, likely position of the body, etc., and combined with the witness statements we will likely have a pretty good idea.
But, right now, we know nothing. It could have been an execution - it could have been justified - we just don't know.
