Never let facts get in the way of writing a "great story" eh media?

I want to say they demoted then fired the cop, but i'm not 100% sure and don't feel like looking it up.

TBH, I feel like someone out there has video of be actual shooting and may be too afraid to come forward? Maybe a noisy older person who watches from their window all day
Odd's are it is a good possibility.
When the murder went on outside our house last year, the woman got off, but apparently the neighbor next door had damning evidence that could have put the woman in prision, but she was afraid of somebody harming her family if she did.

Do you remember where it was so I can look it up?

Same here. I haven't kept up on the details because it's continually changing. All I remember hearing at first was that he was 35 feet away and had his hands raised surrendering when he was shot. Then it was something happened in the car, and he was running away and shot in the back.
People will make the facts out to whatever supports their argument now, until they actually come out. Then, they'll slant them to support their argument anyway.

You're wrong. Those protesters in ferguson are being bused in.

sure sure, you're right of course, it's just that "the local community" doesn't have the onus on it to report the story factually, the media does.
Social media and mob mentality doesn't excuse real journalist from doing their jobs correctly.

This could be the case here. Most neighborhoods have at least one or two noisy neighbors who are always on the look out. Also these days anytime there's police involved people tend to start videoing so I'd be surprised if didn't have more than the after effects of the shooting recorded

We really need the communications from the PD for that day. The friend claims that Darren got the call and proceeded to reverse and call for back up, that tape is the only thing that will settle it.
Secondly, if it is the case, the Chief of Police fricked up AGAIN by saying the officer wasn't aware of the robbery at the time of contact. Yes, semantics wise, he could have meant the initial "Get out of the road" but to not follow up and provide clarity just leads to his incompetency.

I agree he's incompetent, but he didn't frick up by saying the officer wasn't aware of the robbery at the time of contact
