Guess I missed that history lesson where the founding fathers burned down their own towns and stole wigs and new clothes from the local merchants when they disagreed with something.
Never read about the Boston Tea Party?
Was that their tea?

Hmmmm.. I guess you didn't really read much early history.
Rioting and looting happened then.

You really have no way to make a logical thought chain. You jump from point to point, neural synapses firing wildly but sporadically. I'm not sure who you're arguing with, but I submit it is a structure of your own creation.

Well they did dress up as Indians and throw a whole bunch of tea into a harbor. I guess the liberals will now say it was the beginning of white people committing crime and then blaming it on the minorities.

Disagree, nothing wrong with protest even if it's before to get some eyes on their local justice system and police to force them to handle it correctly.
Wouldn't it follow that we should do this IN ALL CASES??

but I guarantee the song and dance will change if they start using live ammo
Again, that is live ammo.
It is a projectile fired from a gun.
It is not lead, which is much more dangerous, but it is live.

honestly, the few of you in this thread choosing to ignore good points brought up by posters and spreading idiotic rhetoric has made this thread hella lame.
Pretty sure i'm done with this thread.
Later dudes

Do you think the Boston Massacre was an egregious abuse of power by the British soldiers?

link? Not saying it is wrong, but I just see this stat thrown around as fact all the time but have never seen the support.

I was having this conversation with a black coworker of mine.
He is right. There is a difference. Check the % of crimes committed in an area vs the % of population. Look at % of prison population. Look at #s in videos on the news. He can thank his fellow black brothers for this.

Leave when a argument doesn't go your way?

No, the mob was assaulting the soldiers with rocks and other objects, and it is also suspected that the Sons of Liberty actually instigated the massacre. Go and read something, like the Boston Massacre Trials. Ironically enough, the British soldiers were defended by John Adams, one of the most logical patriots.

I didn't know there was a time frame for protesting.
Not by law but common sense tells us more people are awake and watching AND there will be less looting associated.

Exactly.
However, it turned on the British when Adams and Paine and the like were able to use that incident to incite the feelings of revolution in the country.
The more you read about the lead up to the revolution, the more today's US looks like the colonies. The authorities in the US should brush up on their history, before shite gets really bad here.
