In 10 points or less, tell me you don't know the history of the Spanish Town parade without saying "I don't know the history of the Spanish Town parade".
Well done.
quote:
(1) The parade is way too long
(2) They can’t even line floats up in order
(3) Any baw with a trailer can join
(4) Float Decorations are weak
(5) Inappropriate themes
(6) F250s pulling floats with baws showing off their trucks while huge ball beads hang in the window
(7) Straight white men dressed like pimps
(8) Fugly adult women scantily clad with pink boas
(9) Hot Pink everything
(10) Float riders make it all about themselves unlike real Mardi Gras riders who are supposed to be anonymous
Well done.

Do you ever get bored with this whole contrarian act?

Discuss it with your pastor over a meal at Piccadilly.
But the parade is fun. If you don’t like it, nobody is making you go.

You are trying way to hard. But---there's always a butt----

That parade is like St Pats and is fun AF.

Today was amazing. Spanish Town is an inclusive Krewe and puts on the absolute best Mardi Gras Parade outside of Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.

That's the best part of it. Spanish Town is near the top of the list of things I miss about Baton Rouge. I always had a blast on that day, especially when riding.

It’s Baton Rouge. What do you expect

Probably none.
In the history of the parade, the main incident I’m aware of was where a small child picked up a throw from the parade and it exploded.
The throw in question was a silver foil bag and IIRC it was a thing of fireworks or some other small pyrotechnics that didn’t go off when it hit the ground.
That covers probably 20-30 years of this parade. The average MLK parade around here has more casualties.

Great reference from your insult to me from 6 weeks ago. Way to keep things current.
