No need to change your mind because your opinion doesn’t mean shut to me .

hanging out in Baton Rouge during Mardi Gras sounds like a personal problem

Nah, Spanish Town is the start of the marathon. The way to do it is to start Saturday at Spanish Town and end at Endymion, crash on someone's floor in New Orleans, then do it all again Sunday and Lundi Gras In New Orleans, then hit the road to the prairie to hit up one of the courirs. Even when I lived in New Orleans, we'd still start at Spanish Town.

Thank you. Exactly. There's no Substitute for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. BUT. Spanish Town has absolutely earned its place in Mardi Gras Weekend(Friday-Tuesday) tradition for many folks from the BR area. We use to haul arse from Spanish Town to get set up on St Charles in New Orleans.

Now we just go home and rest up until Sunday morning and go catch the full day around Lee Circle.

Your girl T told me what float she was on and was on our side but I somehow missed her.

And you're right. Spanish Town has always been inclusive.

Everything you said may have some truth, but the people that attend all seem to have a blast. I used to work an event every year at Spanish Town and it was one of the better days to live in BR, other than LSU home games.

You ain't wrong.

The best Saturdays in Baton Rouge:
LSU SEC Home Games
St Pats Parade(Saturday before St Pats Day)
Spanish Town Parade(Saturday before Fat Tuesday)
