Spanish Town is an Embarrassment- Change My Mind

(1) The parade is way too long
(2) They can’t even line floats up in order
(3) Any baw with a trailer can join
(4) Float Decorations are weak
(5) Inappropriate themes
(6) F250s pulling floats with baws showing off their trucks while huge ball beads hang in the window
(7) Straight white men dressed like pimps
(8) Fugly adult women scantily clad with pink boas
(9) Hot Pink everything
(10) Float riders make it all about themselves unlike real Mardi Gras riders who are supposed to be anonymous
For the people who participate and enjoy it, good for you. I’m glad you have fun and I won’t try to stop you from having your fun. But you are an embarrassment to Mardi Gras. Change my mind.

Back around 2004 the fun section of the advocate put a Spanish town parade rider on the cover of their edition closest to Mardi Gras. It was a man with a flamingo hat on. What the advocate missed was the flamingo had a big penis sticking up out of it.
