Are there plans to use the Michoud infrastructure as well? I've been saying our elected idiots should be petitioning to fire that up again
That has become multipurpose including a cryogenic tank manufacturer.

Is Elon gonna start up Insure X and get into the home insurance game?

It’s basically gonna be its own sustainable little city. They’ll have to have all those amenities for all the permanent workers. Don’t underestimate Elon, when he does something he goes above and beyond on projects

There’s almost 8000 direct employees at the one in Texas, if they duplicate that, all those people are gunna need someplace to live. It’ll change Vermilion Parish quite a bit
I would imagine abbeville, rayne, crowley, lafayette, kaplan, maurice, etc will all be good landing spots. I definitely wouldnt want to build anything near pecan island. I also think it would make alot of sense to build a highway from south/southweast of lake arthur and connect up with 82 west of pecan island if possible.

I heard that Elon gonna build a hurricane repelling machine, a stargate, and a dozen launch pads for regular passenger services to the Moon and Mars down there.

Maurice is still an hour away from Pecan Island, Lafayette an hour and 15 minutes. You could make that drive it would just be congested because there’s not many ways in and out of Pecan Island. Abbevile and Kaplan would be the most logical places but they would have to invest in more housing and infrastructure. Putting a highway between Grand Lake and White Lake would be nice leaving Lake Arthur down to Pecan Island

Ahh. Louisiana continuing the destruction of its marsh because of industry.
How is it destroying the marsh?
The intense industrialization of Cape Canaveral preserved the surrounding wilderness. In 1963, NASA acquired roughly 140,000 acres of land but only developed a small fraction of it. The remaining vast buffer zones became the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
Because rising sea levels and hurricanes threaten launchpads NASA financed massive shoreline restoration projects. They have rebuilt miles of sand dunes, planted native dune grasses, and restored compromised inland waterways.

Ford needs to build a plant next door and sell truck nuts.
I heard this morning the world's largest truck nut manufacturer is having boardroom discussions on relocating its headquarters from Bawcomville to Boston....Louisiana.
Erath and Gueydan officials are apparently jealous that little ole Boston could land that new facility.

Michoud is active, what are you talking about ? Tons of contractors working on site for the Armetis space craft etc…

I think Venice would be ideal.

Hwy 91 goes all the way to Pecan Island? I know it goes thru Gueydan, where does it end?

You do realize spacepads need to be on the coast to launch over open water. You can't build them in the heartland.
