That statue isn't staying up in Nola for long either way.
Maybe they'll put up a statue of Rickey Jackson instead so they won't have to change the name on all the maps and signs.
Doesn't he hold the state record for back child support?

What's the thought process behind taking down Jackson?

NOLA=Lost Cause shithole. Leave it to the swamps and erosion.

The statue wont last another election cycle, but they are running out of targets too quickly.

The city will have the gates surrounding the statue locked up. None of the city’s politicos want this.

Nope no way. Within 10 minutes you’d be doxxed and within an hour there would be people in front of your home terrorizing your family.

And what we saw was a bunch of people who haven't exercised since puberty or bathed since their 18th birthday walk and then get tired.
Just put out some beignets and ice cream and they’ll eat till they can’t march anymore .

If they pull down Andrew Jackson, does that mean we can pull down the MLK Jr. Statue in DC?

If/when the statue comes down, the people who actually make this city run, create jobs, provide industry, etc need to hightail it to Jefferson or St Tammany and the let the barista class fend for themselves

As bad as city leadership is, that one aint coming down. As for tomorrow night, isn't the interior of the square surrounded by a heavy iron fence? Can't the NOPD pretty easily keep them out of that part of the square?

That’s what they did last time and will likely do again. None of these protestors, and I mean none of them, are from here. The entire Take it Down crew is from out of town. All Latoya needs to do is take a poll of the city’s actual residents about Jackson and end this.

The “we” I am referring to is the citizens of our city. These violent protestors will not be from here. We have been protesting peacefully here.
