Flying has become an absolutely miserable experience. I cannot recall a flight in the last eight years where the flight attendant did not come on and say “this will be a full flight today” every damn time.
With you there. Used to love traveling and I’m at the point where I’d just prefer to do staycations or pick places within an 6-8 hour drive. The experience of flying the last 2-3 years is hellish. We’ve told our families we don’t plan to travel every year for the holidays. We will do every other year going forward. And hopefully see them during the year on off peak periods when things aren’t as nuts.

Even flying first class sometimes; it’s barely separated from Coach, usually no partition, and people walk up to use the bathroom anyway.

I first noticed a shift in the class of the flying public when the COVID payments started being sent out. Everyone could now afford to fly. It has only gotten worse since then and the massive number of layoffs that were inflicted upon airline employees during COVID probably isn't helping matters today.
Flying makes you realize the extremely oblivious and stupid nature of the general public. On every flight I go on there are at least a few people that are basically caricatures.

My favorite are the people who jump up to go shite as soon as the plane hits 10,000 feet. How the frick do you already have to rush to the bathroom after ten minutes?

When I fly first class, I shite in coach. Don't need that foulness up front.

Yep, if a destination is within 12
Hours, we’ll be driving now. Our family attempted to fly to Disney from New Orleans via connection in Atl a month ago. Flights through United/delta were on time, but the connection part was absolutely hideous. No wheelchair at gate for a handicapped family member- and 20 minutes to go 4 concourses over to make your next flight… awful

I don't doubt you're an airline pilot.
The FAA regs are exactly why SWA cancellations occurred, that is straight from SWA personnel at MSY.

Damn FAA always coming down hard on SWA and letting every other carrier skirt the rules

If I can't get a flight first class without going through ATL or Dallas then I'm flying private. If you are flying with a family why in the hell would you fly anything other than a private plane? The price is negligible.

Bro this is bad trolling. You gotta be a little more subtle. You want people to spend time debating wether or not you are being serious.

frick Southwest, I’m never flying them again.
: 2 months later :
“Hmm. I need to go to New Orleans”.
Southwest: $140
United: $145
“Yea , we’ll give Southwest another go!”
