I'm in Covington and it should be abnormally dry but my lawn is green as ever and I have not had to run the sprinklers in weeks.

Based on your drought monitor map it looks like it’s only Moderate Drought

It's been pretty dry for summer in BR. It usually rains 4-5 days per week this time of the year.

Checking in from one of the red dots in Minnesota.
Dry as hell with terrible air quality due to wild fires. Missing South Louisiana afternoon thunderstorms right about now.

It has been dry but comparable to last year.
44 inches of rain last year and 29.8 so far this year but both years are drier than the average of around 65 inches we usually get.
ETA: Here is the chart

Probably going to make up for it after October going into a El Nino winter.

Been raining pretty regular in N.O. lately but there was a spell it didn't rain much at all.
I know I've gotten at least 4 pretty hard downpours in the past couple weeks-----enough to cause some street flooding in my neighborhood.

It’s getting bad in Texas too. Second summer in a row that Lake Travis is too low for my boat.

I've watched many Baton Rouge forecasts this year start out at 80% and drop to below 20% as the day goes on. I'm tired of watering so much.

local river is very low and did not get high at all this spring. Grass needs cut ever 5 days right now so its not that bad I guess.

It’s spotty summer showers. Only sometimes more severe.
Very hard to pinpoint exactly where it’s going to hit, but they could be better at predicting when those will break out. Dropping from 80% to 20% within 24 hours seems very common today.
