My wife will veer off and argue with me on shite like the correct granular insecticide for the yard.

I learned after my first marriage to let stupid shite go and not make a big deal out of it, my wife now learned the same thing in her first marriage.
We've been together including dating for almost 4 years now and haven't had a SINGLE argument.
Moral of the story, don't sweat the small stuff.

Tell her to put on more clothes. If she won't, start shedding your clothes. She'll get the hint.

She won't keep our bedroom door shut. Keeping the door shut keep out room cooler and I like our room freezing when I go to bed.
I constantly have to walk behind her and shut our door.
And then of course I feel compelled to make some little passive aggressive quip about it (because I'm an a-hole) and that usually doesn't go well.

We don't argue much but one cycle we always get into that is amazingly stupid is deciding where we are going to go if we want to eat at a restaurant. She refuses to make the decision and even refuses to give a hint as to what she wants. I have to guess at it. I basically have to name every place within shooting distance till we narrow it to a few, and then I have to make the call between those. If I pick the wrong one, it's my fault.
It's like a shell game. I wanna say "Just tell me where the pea is, goddammit!!"

She doesn't rinse off dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also puts dishes covered with crap in the side of the sink without the disposal. Drives me crazy. She now does it on purpose because she knows it annoys me.

Something you argue with your wife about that's really not that big of a deal?

Her inability to load the dishwasher efficiently and effectively.
Its like a blind person who's never used a dishwasher just throws shite in there and turns it on.

This. However, the AC is a big deal. We have HVAC units in each room and are constantly arguing whether it should be on or off.

I hope all you folks in the Deep South that like 65 degree houses aren't living on pier and beam construction. If so, your gonna need thousands of spare dollars to repair the flooring problems you have coming at you in a couple of years. I see 20 or so flooring and sub flooring failures a summer due to this. Along with mold, you can get powder post beetles and termites in the house due to increased moisture levels caused by too low of a thermostat setting.
Here's an excerpt from a paper done by LSU Ag Center. LINK
"For a given type of insulation and interior floor finish, sub floor moisture content generally increased with decreasing indoor temperature during summer.
That is, the cooler the air conditioning was keeping the temperature indoors, the wetter the sub floor. The potential for low air conditioning set-point temperatures to cause problematic moisture accumulation infloors over crawl spaces in the southeastern United States has been recognized for decades (Verrall 1962)."

How I will occasionally "accidently" slip in the backdoor?
Turning the ceiling fans up at night. I like it for the white noise aspect just as much for how cold it makes the room. She is a sound sleeper and has bad hearing, so she doesn't understand how you can hear every damn thing in the house when the fan isn't going full blast. I.e., I could tell her every time the dog and cats were eating between 11pm until around 1230am last night.

Lose some weight and the temperature won't bother you so much.
