possible. seems slightly more likely to me than the gang retaliation theory but obviously we are just taking wild guesses

A gaming tournament is a random place for some random shooter to target. It is a very specific setting that requires authorized access.

Hearing the shots doesn’t sound like it was an “assault rifle”. Sounds like it was a pistol.
