If you live in a liberal utopia, you are very accustomed to contradictions. Congrats on storing up wrath

Nah. That is blue pill modus operandi. I respect the decision of a fair election. The US always has hard swings to the left and right. It always inevitably hits the center.

But a common criticism is that most of the South (particularly LA and MS) are poor states. This is exacerbated by the fact that they are Republican and should have plenty free commerce and big business

La and Ms are very recently “red states”. Both are very socially conservative but fiscally liberal.
As for your examples of Atlanta and Huntsville, you can also throw in Charlotte, Nashville, greenville (Sc). You have no one to blame but the incompetent leadership that engulfed Baton Rouge and Nola for decades.
After all Nola has about what 100+ years on many of these other cities cities? Pretty pathetic it’s current situation and how it can’t take off.

Never lived in what I would call a liberal utopia. If anything I live in areas that are socially conservative but tend to have liberal hotspots.

All 3 run by democrat mayors for the past century, with the exception of BR in the 90’s.

I'm doing very well now, but I had to leave LA. But I know that Louisiana will always be home. I know that they have so much potential, but we can't let fear and bigotry be the enemy of progress.

One of these is definitely not like the others and never will be.

For various reasons.

You can throw in Alabama, where Republicans have only controlled both houses of the legislature for 7 years out of the last 150.

I find the pro-life slant on this board mesmerizing.

Look, if my choice is Shaniqua having yet another ward of the state or having an abortion, I'll choose abortion any day.

frick I'd choose my tax dollars going to abortion over welfare 10 out of 10 times.

Look at demos, see the percentages, then tell me what's the difference between states like LA, MS and the northern states.
