How weak-minded do you have to be to be triggered by someone wearing a watch.

It pisses me off that your co-worker pisses you off.

It’s probably not about the watch.

If that’s the verbal output, there’s a larger pattern OP is missing. He sees a symptom of a problem, and is not noticing the bigger problem.

It would be best for OP to just not give a shite and let the co-worker figure out their own issues.

Wait until he realizes that the most expensive ones are the worst at actually keeping accurate time.

Eh

I wear watches but “doing it because women do” is an awful reason

Cowboy boots and watches are my 2 articles of clothing I will drop a good bit of money on. I have designer jeans also but thats mainly for her. Just give me a comfortable pair of Levis or Wranglers and I’m happy.

Your co-worker sounds like a troglodyte.

I wear a smart watch. My phone stays docked on my desk; I can't stand seeing teachers on their phones during class time. My watch gives me a buzz five minutes before each bell to remind me to wrap things up (though I usually don't need it). Also, with two kids, a house, and an elderly mother, timely notifications can be important.

I stopped wearing a watch when I stopped working.

It's nice to not have to check.what time it is 100x/day.

Sounds like an unrefined ignorant co-worker to me.

Just insult him by saying something like "Like you, not everyone in this world is sophisticated."

I bet your co-worker would be infuriated on this site then. There is a "watch" thread on this board multiple times a week.

Both groups could be used for a new reality television show.

I have a few that I never wear but I couldn’t care less that others choose to wear one. To each his own. Seems like a weird thing to be bothered by.

Most professionals and people who care about their time wear watches.
