Social Distancing -Extending the virus

The social distancing practice has slowed down the spread but it also elongated the presence of the virus.
It’s not killing or making the virus go away.
It might have been a better move to allow as many as possible to get the virus to create a herd immunity. Additionally, build more hospital space dedicated to viral outbreaks.
Sure we’d lose lives but maybe not any more than with Social Distancing.
People worried about catching a virus can just practice avoidance techniques. Like social distancing.
It’s not killing or making the virus go away.
It might have been a better move to allow as many as possible to get the virus to create a herd immunity. Additionally, build more hospital space dedicated to viral outbreaks.
Sure we’d lose lives but maybe not any more than with Social Distancing.

Multiple sources reporting now that the virus was in the US in January and no one was social distancing. And guess what? No one even noticed, shouldn’t hospitals have been overflowing in February when the virus was here and no one was as social distancing? The whole thing is a joke.

Just google first Coronavirus case in US. It’s being reported by CNN, Washington post, New York Times, as well as many other outlets.

Who will build it? Who will pay for it? Who will maintain it after the fact? Sure China was able to build a hospital in 2 weeks, but with actual labor standards and unions, labor laws, building codes, how quickly could that happen here?

Ive seen this take multiple times, yet I still don't think I agree with it. We know a lot of people will contract it, that doesn't mean everyone all needs to get it at one time. Besides, the longer we prolong it, the better doctors will understand how to treat at. If I'm someone who may be immunocompromomised, I'd rather catch it in August when doctors have a decent idea of treatnent options that work and treatment options that dont work, rather than contracting it in February and March where doctors were basically throwing shite at the wall to see what sticks.
Herd immunity will happen one way or the other. That doesnt mean we have to force it to happen right this moment.
