for trick or treat since mostly all of the neighborhoods in the Denham Springs area were flooded.
There were always a few that needed police security to keep outsiders out but now where will they go?

I have no problem with kids from other neighborhoods coming to mine and enjoying trick or treating.

My problem came when the 13 - 18 year olds with no costume and Wal-Mart plastic bags came looking for free candy.

Or the mom with a new born baby who is looking for free candy herself.

I stopped giving out candy 3 years ago and don't regret it.

Reading this thread is a reminder that there are some people that try to suck the fun out of anything by finding the negative. Halloween is a really fun holiday, only on the OT do I come to find the curmudgeons among us.

yeah...we get hit hard by the "poors" because we live right behind a church that is the drop off point, so they come around the corner and our house is right there

I don't care as long as they are between 6-8 and have a costume and polite

but like others have said, when the teenagers come with no costumes at 9:30 and banged on my door when the lights are off and wake my kid up in the process, I get a bit peeved

What about the car that pulls up and lets 10 kids out then they get back in and go down the street?
