I don't mind the kids from our neighborhood and even the adjacent one. I know most of the families and kids. It's the van loads that come from other areas that pisses me off. Got so bad I started keeping a separate bucket of cheap crap for them and only give them like 1 or 2 pieces each.

wondering where they'll all go since majority of the area was flooded. I know Easterly Lakes did not and i've seen first hand what goes on in that neighborhood but since my friends moved away from there i go to another friends house in a different neighborhood.

My neighborhood coordinates with some of the less fortunate neighborhoods in the area and they shuttle the kids in to go trick-or-treating. It's a nice, simple way to help out the community and provide a safe environment for the kids. It's a small inconvenience for some because the police block off the streets and divert traffic, but most everyone in the neighborhood association really enjoys it.

There are only a few streets in Denham that have restricted access for Trick or Treat due to the flood
We typically have 500-600 kids in our subdivision, planning to have close to double that this year
I don't mind at all, some of these kids lost everything

Gotcha. You know better who comes to my house for trick or treating than I do.
I never said I get a lot of kids. I don't, but over the years the numbers of those who are way too old for trick or treating outnumbered the young kids to the point that I don't want to deal with it anymore.
Already said I have no problem with giving kids from any neighborhood candy, nor am I opposed to kids going to better neighborhoods to get candy. The key word is "kid" and not teenager or adult.
