Obviously it's your decision if you choose not to wear a mask. And a mask isn't needed in all circumstances, only if there's other folks around and there's a chance of spreading it to them. But if nobody is forcing you to wear it, then how is this about personal liberty?
And again, let's try to think about the common good here. It's not just about you (or me).

As always, if I want insight into what the dumbest people in the world are thinking, I can just read a thread on TD.

You can just search for posts by Jack Daniel. Biggest fricking pussy sky screamer on the board. You just know that dumbfrick doesn't wear a hunting vest or a seatbelt, because big gubmint.

you were always supposed to wear one, anyone with a brain knew this, its basic common frickin sense
they just denied that because they knew there wasnt near enough masks to go around and didnt want hospitals to run out by starting a stupid idiot rush to stores to buy them all just like with TP

Would those be the same types of masks the CDC said were ineffective?

Do you not understand the simple concept that the current theory is that this virus which is affecting the entire world originated in those markets?

When will you people get it? This is about protecting others. Patriots do what's right for the common good, right? And nobody's making you do it...it's a recommendation.
You sound like one of the people hoarding hand sanitizer and tp.

CDC has always said masks were ineffective at keeping the wearer from being directly infected. That hasnt changed.
The mass use of masks is effective because it stops droplets from wearers from spreading to others. So any piece of cloth can accomplish that.
Normal citizen is not going to take all the steps to use it as an effective stopper of getting infected. Also just wont have resources, because you would have to dispose of it constantly every time it was exposed to the virus. Citizens cant do this.
But you guys are right, this thread is a demonstration that we have waaaaay too many morons in this country to do something like that in mass and it be effective like Asia has been doing for years in response to outbreaks. You could have a grocery store of mask wearers and a couple of people without masks, and those droplets can still get to the mask wearers..so it not as effective.

Do you understand the definition of a recommendation? Did you stop washing your hands once the CDC recommended it?

Nope, it’s about my liberties. What’s next, the govt will tell me what clothes to wear and what haircut to get? I’ll have to pick a haircut off the list like in China
I am not as willing to give up liberty for a little cough like most of you on this board are
All this talk about liberties is hilarious when you're on the couch abiding by every other rule they're putting out there, sky screaming about muh liberties.
Let me guess, comply or die has gone out the window for you guys huh lol

I will wear gloves ifbi decide to go shopping (which is not likely). But I won't wear a mask. I just stay away from people. My local grocery store is not real busy when I have gone which is very early in the morning. Less people means less chance. There are way too many people in this state that just don't get it.

You do have the liberty to do what you want with YOUR body.
What you DON’T have is the liberty to spread it to others due to an asanine ‘“It’s all about me” line of thinking.

Eta: and no I will not be wearing a ridiculous mask.

I already had too much shite in my pantry and freezer, so I don't plan on venturing to the grocery store as well. But if this virus is airborne, isn't wearing gloves and not anything over your face only protecting you and not others?

How about this: you put others at risk for all sorts of shite just by getting out of bed (or existing for that matter), so please, do the right thing ....
