I mean Is it really that sad if people with AIDS die from this. A lot of them go through life having Gay butt sex and spreading their disease to unknowingly partners anyways.

So for a non-medical expert like myself, can someone explain for me why we aren’t using this already and getting back to normal?

Why wouldn’t the FDA be able to approve this tomorrow?

We are. It's being used to treat patients now. It might take some time for it to become the standard treatment that everyone gets, but we're doing it and we're going to fricking win.

Non medical expert here. But if I had to guess, they probably want to test it on a larger sample size to test the validity of it. And even then they may want to wait to see if the patients have any lasting side effects.

If this virus is as bad as they say - wouldn't side effects be a moot point

They can't have it both ways unless someone is lying to us

I'm not reading all that but evidently it some 30 year old Malaria medicine that has showed to be effective against the virus. Supposedly Trump and the FDA are going to have some huge announcement tomorrow.

Seems to me like if we’ve had this drug for 80 years we should know the side affects pretty well by now

Let's do it.

We'll just round them up and put them on treadmills with a delicious baby in a playpen in front of them. We'll hook up the treadmills to generators and use them as an alternative to fossil fuels.

We end the coronavirus bullshite and frick OPEC in one fell swoop.

Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin as a treatment of COVID-19: results of an open- label non-randomized clinical trial

Here’s the actual article. Certainly promising results. Needs more testing. For now, if it’s either death or trying a drug that may help, I’m going with trying the medication. It’s been around forever and is relatively safe.

So, let’s start “testing” everybody with it.
