These are my exact symptoms too. It sucks. I have to slow down and just drive in the right lane. Feels like vertigo and a serious anxiety attack. Mine first started driving over a bridge in Alabama between Mobile and Montgomery on I-65.

I find it it’s more of the steepness rather than the height that gets me. Easier when I use cruise control and look at the road in front me and not the horizon at the top.

Have you ever driven the Huey p long in New Orleans before they widen it? That was scary during heavy traffic

I developed that fear about 6 years ago while driving over the Mississippi Rover bridge in Natchez. No idea why.

There's something about that bridge. I know exactly what you mean.

I know the one you are talking about. When it is really foggy I get the same anxiety. Do that route frequently. In good weather it doesnt bother me, but fog or rain? F that!

It was really scary if you weren't used to it. Took about 2 weeks to get used to if you were doing it daily. If you got the train in the center and an 18 wheeler in the next lane simultaneously, experience stopped mattering. shite was scary

I feel you. I started to get that about 4-5 years ago, starting with the Hi-Rise in New Orleans. The weird thing is I'm was internally freaking out going up the bridge (either side) and once I reached the top and started going down it all went away.

The older I've gotten the less I trust the engineering which I think is a big contributor. I may have also been hungover a time or two and I get really bad anxiety when I'm hungover.

It's not as bad now but every now and then I can feel it creeping up.

I don’t know what it is about the Natchez bridge that makes me feel uneasy.

I have a recurring dream where I’m driving over ridiculously high and narrow bridges. Freak out the whole time in the dream.

I know... CSB

We were side swiped when I was a kid. That was the only time I’ve seen my dad scared about anything.

Get yourself a therapist who does exposure therapy quick!
Otherwise, you’re going to be taking crazy routes to get anywhere...or your world will just become smaller.

Crossed the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan in my 80,000 lb semi last winter. The damn thing was swaying in those high winds, i could feel it.

What happened with the old Skyway bridge is what my nightmares are made of.

When I go over high bridges I am taking it easy and try to stay in the left lane even if I'm not passing, if I can do so safely.

I feel like there should be a gentlemen's agreement to chill the frick out while going over bridges. I absolutely hate the I-10 bridge in Lake Charles.

Not reading 5 pages to see if this has been said, but get your iron checked. I started having the same problem. Iron was low. A pill a day and it’s gone.
